Well Christmas came and went faster than I wanted it, but enjoyed each moment with the family, sleeping in staying in our PJ's and watching Christmas shows, we truly really enjoyed the 2 weeks off. we Celebrating Christmas Adam, and had a blast Christmas eve with all the family eating playing games and eating some more than going to see Santa at a big lit up house. than home to open PJ's and reading the birth of our savior. Kids woke me up that mourning at 4 yes 4 and boy did I tell them to get back in there beds, they than woke up at 7:30. We had an enjoyable Christmas day. New years was fun full of games we went to the neighbors and ate and played games and let some fireworks off ,the kids had a grate time. we are indeed so grate full for family and friends and love all of ya.

We had a fun few weeks busy with the end of school Christmas party's, and fun family party's. We had the chance to go up to,This is the place old fashion Christmas with the Higbee family and loved walking up and down the streets as the candles were lit in the old pioneer homes,as I was walking with my family on the dirt road, my mind wounder back to how it would of been at that time as the glow of the dirt streets and little fires warming the streets and caroling was happening , and in each house feeling the warmth of dancing and laughing, and the live nativity was amazing no one wanted to leave the stable, we all felt the spirit in that room that night. Made me very grateful for the simplicity of life and realized more that day, that pride, and the big worldly things do not matter in life and "Things" We will never take with us but the sweet memories and family and my testimony is what I will take with me in life. I did not want to leave that place,for I wanted to take it all in,being surrounded with such great history of faithful pioneers and truly will always try to live with great faith as they did. We were able to go into the homes and learn about the history of the pioneers, we got to se a puppet show, make old ornaments, and dance, We all loved being there.There is one thing I am very grateful for and that is bathrooms..

We started out the month going to Festival of trees. We love going every year and supporting primary children hospital. We got to get together at grandparent Higbee home to do our yearly gingerbread houses, and boy to all the kids keep getting better and better each year. We just finished the Higbee Christmas party Heidi and Rod were in charge this year and did a old fashion pioneer Christmas with turkey,Ham, mashed potatoes, and yummy veggies and desserts, thank you to all who brought such yummy food. than the kids made old fashioned ornaments,and wrote letters to santa ,and each adult had to bring a homemade ornament with a service attached to it that they had to do for the person who got there ornament. Lets just say Megan I want to be there when wade washes your car with his shirt off, that was his service,ha ha . Thank you Heidi we had a blast..

Well I guess after a ton of comments to catch up a little I have a little time to post. Afton turned 10 and had a fantastic Birthday Party took her friends to classic skating and could not get them to leave the place they had so much fun and me and Tyler had more fun watching them. Than she had her family party on Sunday she had her favorite dinner she picked out steak and cheesecake and cauliflower with cheese, she than was able to get her Schwinn beach cruiser bike she has been wanting and has been on it since..
Caden is coming to an end on Football and has had fun, was not quite sure starting out on the line against a 150lb 1rst grader and was scared to death, but has had fun ever since. Avery has been busy with swim . Life has been busy but memories keep being made for sure..

Avery started 4 day swim back after school and is loving( so far 6th grade)

Afton started Irish dance back and goes 2 hours one day a week she loves her 4th grade class and teacher, and has a lot of kids in our ward in her class, even her teacher..

Caden goes to 1rst grade and loves school lunch but he does make sure every day to watch the menu to make sure to take home lunch on the gross days he says. He plays padded football with the 1rst and 2nd graders and goes to practise 3 days a week from 6-8

Caden had a very Happy Birthday with a friend Birthday water slide party than a family party. He was so excited for his Birthday dinner he picked out Steak, mashed potatoes, Jello, and for his cake Pumpkin pie..

We are so lucky to have him in our family full of energy and love for life. He has been busy every night from 6-8 with football practice, he calls it real football with his helmet and pads, he loves it. He starts school full time as a 1rst grader and mom is now filled with mixed emotions from sad to happy. We are loving watching him grow and the love and Joy he has in mine his dad and sisters life's. We love you Caden.

We has a blast going up to island park with the Manning's, ( missing Tyler's brother and sister's family's). We stayed in a cabin, the kids had blast playing with each other and the adults laughing,talking, and playing games! We went out on the canoe one day with Morgans family and what fun and many laughs we had, what a peaceful place. The guys and Tyler's sister got to go the next mourning really early Tyler had a blast jumping off a rope into the cold,and spending time with them. We had fun in Yellowstone and seeing Old Faithful, but had funner on the river and just being with family, we went through Yellowstone into Jackson on the way home, what a beautiful place. It was good to get home and now are getting back into the grove of life starting with swim, Irish, and football, and than school.

What a great 4Th of July we had a fun family BBQ at my parents and the kids had fun playing on the water slide. Caden and Afton was on it most the time. Than we had great food and following that a great family volleyball game.
We that night had a great neighborhood BBQ under our big trees we had great food and a great time hanging out with everyone following with great dessert and homemade ice cream, we also had such a great firework show I am truly grateful to live in a free country and for all those who fought for our freedom and still our fighting for others freedom.

The kids so far has had a great summer, The first week will be the week Caden keeps talking about, Mike our Neighbor works on 2 fire departments and brought the fire truck down our street, and the big eyes on all the kids faces was priceless, a few of them got out to show them things on it, now mike is pretty famous in the eyes of these boys.ha. We have been busy with swim team which Avery goes 4 times a week in the early mourning, uggg, But am so proud of her, she has a swim a thon this week and is really excited for that, and a swim meet next Friday and sat.. Avery and Afton and Caden have just loved playing, Afton starts back up Irish the first week in Aug, and will be going more hours, Caden just got signed up for padded football and got his pads and helmet, and is so excited for the season to already start, he already took after his sister Afton and nailed her to the floor, so we had to lay down some rules.lol. Fathers day went great and we can never show Tyler enough, how much we love him. It was our Anniversary and we spent last Friday and sat, with each other, I am truly grateful for him, he is truly my best friend. We took the kids up to Cascade springs and up threw the Alpine loop since it just opened and ran into this moose that was stopping all over the place, it was so neat for the kids to see. Well that was a little catching up for now... Now bring on July..

What a cold weekend. brrrrr Tyler and some of his brothers took the kids camping this last weekend and yup it snowed. But the kids had a blast and this trip will for sure always be remembered from all the kids. They are already talking about next year. Afton did not go due to not making up her mind she was torn because I was not going weather or not to stay with mom or go so Tyler left it up to her and she stayed. It was good though I was able to take her out and have some fun one on one girl time( shopping). memorial day was still cold but we still made it to Tyler's dad and uncles and grandparents graves. We had fun at grandma Manning's and later that night Talking with Friends. Now to servive summer ha..

AVERY = Busy with swim she has been going 4 days a week and babysits for a neighbor 1 day a week on top of keeping up with home work and Friends. She just finished a swim meet that lasted 2 full days and amazed us and her coaches, she did butterfly 50 yards and100 yards free 50 free and breaststroke she loves her coaches, and we love her and are so proud of her and excited for the next 2 meets coming up in June and July.

AFTON= she has been loving playing with her friends loves Irish dance and has been busy with end of school projects, she just finished an Irish competition in salt lake and did well ,we are so proud of her.

CADEN= Busy with two baseball games a week and one soccer game a week he loves school, he can't wait to be a (First) grader so that he can eat school lunch,( like father like son) ha, ha,

MOM And DAD= well as you can tell we live in our car going to all the kids activities, we enjoy every minute and are so proud of there talents they have chosen and love to do, and love seeing there accomplishments that come with it all. Tyler has been busy getting and preparing our garden as well as yard work, I have enjoyed preparing flower beds, a very working but rewarding process, We enjoy settling down and finally just the two of us catching up on movies at nights, we love sitting and talking and laughing,and going out with our neighbors, We are truly blessed to live in such a great place and know why we needed to be were we are at.

It has been a very busy but fun weekend. Between games and Easter we had a blast. We went to Grandparent Higbee house for a big Easter egg hunt for kids and adults, I think us adults fight worse than the kids,ha, than we had great food and games. On Easter Sunday we went to Grandma Manning's house and ate yummy food the kids had fun playing with cousins and Grandma gave them all Easter gift bags that all the kids loved. We love being with family and are very blessed to live so close to everyone.

I have been a slacker and thanks to people reminding me that I need to catch up. We had Avery's Birthday with a friend party and family party's,she had a blast. Next was Tyler's Birthday and I am so mad that most the pictures turned out blurry because the setting was turned wrong, but we had a fun family party. March was filled with lots of Irish practice and swim practice Afton had some performing at wards in salt lake and one at a rest home and than her spring recital so she has been pretty busy, than st.patty's day ,than my Birthday. Afton had her first Irish dance sat, she did great and won 2 medals we are so proud of her and despite her nerves she is ready for the other one in may, she had so much fun with live fiddlers and friends. We would of loved to get pictures of her dancing but the Irish dance rule is no picture taking while dancing or the judges will come take your camera away due to people stealing dance moves(with toes) because every school teaches different

Way to go Afton, need I say we had to be up there by 7:15, so look closer to our eyes waking up at 6 is not how we like to spend our sat. Afton is hoping for a later time spot in may.lol

Well I promised my kids when we got a big back yard we would get a tramp, (had to fight my nurse hubby on that one since he is not for them, he has seen to many hurt everything from them,) and promised them a dog, so it took a long time of searching at what kind we all wanted and after looking and looking and going to look we never came across one that felt like ours, sounds weird but I have to be around them to tell what kind of personality's they have and after searching I gave up for a bit and finally decided to look again and saw our dog, drove 20 miles to her and as soon as I was around her we all fell in love with her. she is so sweet and she has been with us for 7 hours and already to pets mart for bath and grooming and they said she has not barked and she still has not barked once, she has grown to Tyler and follows him around the whole house. We are very excited to have her, we named her Macie..

We had a great Holiday full of food laughter, games, etc..
Every year we celebrate Christmas Adam that has been a Christmas tradition we got from some people in our ward when Avery was just born. We have cal zones, and eat banana splits and sleep by the Christmas tree and watch it's a wonderful life. Earlier in the month we draw names and get each other ornaments and go up to Gardner village to pick them out and give them to each other on Christmas Adam. We welcomed grandma and grandpa to join us and they have fun coming and sharing that day with us, but they do go home to there nice beds. We had a great Christmas Eve having great food and playing games and visiting and also attending our ward Christmas songs and getting brown paper bags filled with goodies. The kids had a great Christmas Avery got her beach cruiser that she wanted, her swim suit she wanted and a new swim hat, and an ipod( she has not really talked to me for a few days because she has been singing, thanks to Lori putting great songs on for her). Afton got her Ashton collectible doll that she has been wanting and she also asked for a nice warm blanket, she got some other barbies and artist book, and games, Caden got a bike and lots of action toys, and a basketball and football as if he needed another one. We enjoyed going to grandparents later that day and at ham and turkey and traditional Chocolate steamed pudding, we played ware wolves and had a blast with everyone. We love this time of year bonding with all our loved ones,

I walked in my laundry room to fold clothes and looked outside my window the other day and saw Caden with 3 friends over, with folded arms and bowed heads saying a long prayer, I stopped what I was doing and went out back and asked them what was going on if everything was alright and a neighbor boy said we just got done barring this bird your cat caught and said a prayer for it, I smiled and said good job boys that bird is very happy in heaven now. I walked off with a big smile on my face knowing that heavenly father in so many ways has really waited for us to sale our house to guide us to such great neighbors and friends, and though at times I complain about a little older house and all the things that need to be done and get a little overwhelmed he sends moment like these to me ,and than I really understand and know how much I need to humble myself and know a house is a house but great neighbors we can't buy,and I would much rather live in a trailer and have great neighbors who look out for each other ,we already love them all so much, they have been such great examples to us already.

We had a fun day today. We went to the Manning Christmas party we had fun eating yummy sandwiches, salads. Grandma Manning gave the girls cute socks with $5, They loved those socks they were a hit, Avery got cute earring's and necklace from her cousin, Afton got a art set that she had already made the cutest clay figures, caden got a remote control jeep that he so far like sneaking up behind me to ram my feet,he thinks he is so funny,lol. Than we had the Adult game which is always a blast. At this time of year we are so very thankful to live so close to family and be surrounded with such great love.

We have had a fun and busy month so far. we took the kids to festival of trees. Than that sat mourning our Higbee Christmas party. We had a blast we woke up and came in pj and bed head that was so nice not to have to worry about getting the kids ready. Mom made the yummiest creme Brulee french toast that allot of us will have Christmas mourning. Than we played games talked service. Thank you everyone for all your help and just being there. That night we went to the Live Nativity we had fun seeing camels goats sheep and the nativity.

This was very touching to Avery, it was a swim tree, the swimmer won in national on different strokes and he had a brain tumor at age 16 and died.

Caden loved this tree, well only half he said he did not want to stand in the middle he told me no mom only this side, so he is making not to happy face, I told him it is just a tree.

We had such an enjoyable week full of laughter and good food. (And yes me and Tyler did end up doing a little black friday but this time at 12:00). It was Cadens turn to make the table name settings and he made chocolate Pilgrim hats which were so cute, Tyler of course made the yummy Italian stuffing and smoked Gouda mash potatoes, cinnamon jello which I think was all Caden ate. We than went to the grandma Manning's home and fun playing games and just talking. Like I said I love this time of year being with family and just relaxing.

We had a fun month so far with Avery getting ready for her Veteran's program. It was so touching and think that everyone that came out of that without a dry eye and even more appreciated of all our Veteran's. A few of Avery's class was picked to memorize a part and Avery was picked and did very well.
We went to the Zoo this weekend and had so much fun, we got to see the baby elephant and the alligators that were born last year, we always love going in the winter to not have to deal with heat and crowds..

Boy did Halloween come and go for us Manning's,but enjoyed every minute on the way, from helping with school field trips to helping with my kids class a week to helping out with class Halloween party's we really did get into the Halloween month. We love this time of year with the holidays coming and really seeing more of both sides of family. We are so looking forward to sledding and all the holiday cheer coming our way.

We had a blast celebrating Aftons Birthday, This was her off year for a friend birthday party so we had a family one with a spooky scavenger hunt to pin the nose on the pumpkin to a boo game, she said it was her funnest birthday yet, so I guess we did our job well,ha ha.
.. Caden and a bit of soccer, it is funny Tyler after coach pitch has wanted Caden to take soccer to speed up his running but he did not want to play soccer just football and baseball, so w did not sign him up and with buying a home moving it was not on our top list, than his aunt Lori called and said they need more players on his cousins team so than he got excited and from there we signed him up and he has never played and is doing great and loves playing with his cousin saxon and and now talks all about soccer. and we enjoying going to watch him.

WE are so grateful to have Afton in our family and love her fun little spirit. She always knows how to make me laugh. She is such a tender heart and will give anyone her favorite treat or jelly braclets that she collects if someone asks just to make them happy.. We love her so much we asked Caden and Avery what they love most about there sister
Avery- I love that if I have a bad day she always comes and sits and talks to me and than we end up just laughing and I forget why I was sad in the first place.
Caden-She always will play sports and wrestle me because she know I like that, and sometimes I let her win or she gets mad..
...... Some things she enjoys doing is she has been taking Irish Dancing and loves it and is getting really good at it, Me and Tyler call her my little Redheaded Irish girl. She still loves popcorn and would have it all day long if she was allowed, Her favorite season is fall and she loves Yellow and Orange still.. We love her so much and want to wish her a very Happy Birthday...
